Russell Simmons & Bill Gates WON'T DO IT! Dear Sir Branson
Dear Sir Richard Branson,

I am writing to ask you for your help for the Common Ground Relief in New Orleans. It is not without shame that I need to write you this day way over in the United Kingdom, as we have our own Kazillionaires in the United States Of America. I have noticed a sad lack of hearts and smarts when it comes to donating to charities where all donations are seen on the ground. Donations that have not been hidden away in Gucci sunglasses, posh offices, luxury cars, or in exclusive dinners, lunches, skyhigh salaries and hotels. I will be blessed to see the Katrina victims finally warm and settled before the next winter.
I am not a representative of Common Ground Relief, nor will I will attempt to describe the AMAZING NGO that has made a real difference in lives of 1,000s of Hurricane Katrina's displaced and forgotten people of the 9th Ward. Instead, I will ask you to visit and see for yourself what wonderful work they continue to do: www.commongroundrelief.org.
The organization is very lucky to have as it's major donor, Bonnie Raitt, a legend in her own time. She has come through again and again for this struggling NGO, which provides ALL that the Katrina victims can use immediately, including clinical medicine and doctors thusfar.
I know you are a nice man. I saw you offer to fly nurses into Baghdad after the fall for free with very much pain and worry in your eyes. I also saw Cnn never show your offer again. They buried the story quite quickly. Your offer made me cry rivers. The fact that it was refused sent me off to a never ending trail of tears as they stood there and did nothing to help the wounded for weeks. That ripped my heart out. I hope I can scrape it all up again some day. Thank you, Mr. Sir Richard Branson.
If you can find it in your heart and pocket book to help the Common Ground Relief with as much as you can, as soon as you can, I will offer up prayers of blessing for you and your family.
Thank You Very Much,
Lisa Cash a common citizen of the world
